Walk from Little Missenden

This is a walk of approximately 5 miles taking in Little Missenden and Amersham.

Little Missenden can be found off the A413 between Amersham and Great Missenden.

On leaving High Wycombe take the A404 towards Amersham, turn left A413, at the next roundabout keep straight on, after about ½ mile take the slip road on the left signposted Little Missenden, follow this road until you reach the Red Lion pub on the right. Park on the right near the pub.

Meet at 10:45 for a prompt 11:00 start.

Visit to Cumbermere Barracks, Windsor

Tour of The Household Cavalry Museum, The Cavalry Blacks (horses) are away on their annual holidays during July / August.

The cost of the tour is £15 and the duration time of the tour is 10:30 till approx. 14:45,

 Meet at Barracks at 10:00. Lunch will be served in the Dining Hall/ Cookhouse price approx. £4.00.

People attending will need form of identity (driving license, bus pass….).

Parking is at Stag Meadow which is a leisurely 10 minutes' walk from the Barracks.

Friday 27th September

Macmillan Coffee Morning + Country Walk at Kay's, Stokenchurch

Kay is still living in Stokenchurch for the foreseeable future, and would like to host her usual Macmillan coffee morning at around 10am followed by a circular walk from the house so you are all invited to come along for some home made cake, coffee/tea and a friendly chat.

This is a countryside fund-raising event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research so your support would be much appreciated.

To work off all that lovely cake, you are very welcome to join Kay for a 3 mile (approx) gentle stroll (around 12:30) across country towards Radnage. So bring some spare cash and comfortable shoes.

Join the 'oldies' for a night of Lulu 'On Fire' when her tour comes to Wycombe Swan and enjoy a show packed full of hits, such as 'The Man Who Sold The World', "Relight My Fire", 'To Sir With Love' and 'Shout' and many others, as Lulu recounts her remarkable life now at 70 years old and a career that has outshone that of many of her contemporaries.

Quiz Night in aid of Lions Charities at Bourne End Community Centre

Fancy being in with a chance of winning £500?

On the 24th October, Bourne End Community Centre are staging a heat of the Annual Wycombe Lions quiz challenge.

As well as enjoying a fun night of quizzing, the top two teams on the night go forward to the Grand Final at Cressex Community Centre, (on Wednesday 13th November).

The winning team in that Grand Final share a prize of £500.

Liaisons are forming a team of 6 for the Bourne End night.

You pay £3 that night with proceeds again going to the Lions Charities.
